Flex Sig with fistula closure

Heidi Posted Wed 27th of November, 2013 11:46:02 AM

the scope ws introduced through the anus and advanced to the splenic flexure. A small fistula was found in the recto-sigmoid colon. One hemostatic clip was successfully place. There was no bleeding during the procedure.

Is there a code to bill for the clip placed on the fistula? The only codes I can find for fistulas are surgical codes not endoscopy codes.

The clip is bundled into the surgery code.
