Rt upper extremity fistulogram ,Fisulogram was performed extending in the central vein. cephalic vain balloon (Mustang stent)Cephalic arch stents with stenosis, 3000 units of heparin given . Balloon angioplasty of the stents reveal resolution of stenosis.

As per the above provided documentation CPT® code 36903 seems more appropriate, since this code includes the stenting, and all angioplasty within the peripheral dialysis segment. Also, the above documentation indicates that the Cephalic vein balloon angioplasty with stenting was performed.


In CPT® code 36902, only transluminal balloon angioplasty within the peripheral dialysis segment is performed.


In CPT® code 36908, angioplasty or stenting performed in the central veins.
