Susan m Posted Thu 25th of September, 2014 16:43:48 PM

Need help coding the following:

The patient presented with significant pain, discomfort & swelling following an I&D of the buttock. She is taken to the operative suite for exploration.

Minimal ooze at the skin edges was controlled with cautery. Wound was inspected. No other pathology, abnormalities appreciated. Digitally explored the subcutaneous tissues to the area of more significant pain, subcutaneous adipose tissues without abnormality. There was no purulence. There was no skin abnormalities. We injected this area with approximately 20 mL of Marcaine and packed with gauze.
