A French panendoscope sheath and foroblique lens was passed under direct vision per urethra. There were 3 prostatic urethral polyps emanating from the verumontanum. With a cystoscope retracted in the prostatic fossa the prostatic urethral polyps were excisionally biopsied and the base was fulgerated. Would this be CPT 52204?

Hi Nicole,

The appropriate code to bill for the above procedure will be 52224 (Cystourethroscopy, with fulguration (including cryosurgery or laser surgery) or treatment of minor (less than 0.5 cm) lesion(s) with or without biopsy.
