Patient has history of breast recon with latissimus dorsi flap. A large seroma of the back developed communicating to the implant in which the implant actually slid into. The implant was removed, expander placed & closed (cpt 19357). Through the back the entire seroma capsule was excised, sutures placed obliterating the tract and then closure. I'm at a loss how to code the excision of seroma. Would this be included in 19357?

Thanks for your question.

CPT 19120 appears to appropriate code for excision for seroma capsule.
