Evaluation and Managment Codes

SuperCoder Posted Fri 17th of February, 2012 17:50:55 PM

Are all E&M codes only used by a physician, other than the 99211 which we understand can be used by axcillary personnel ?

It's a complicated area, but qualified NPPs can report E/M codes under the right circumstances. Check out this manual from Trailblazer: http://www.trailblazerhealth.com/Publications/Training%20Manual/EvaluationandManagementServices.pdf
