EUS coding

Polly Posted Fri 06th of April, 2012 14:13:53 PM

Is 43237 appropriate when EUS is used in stomach and chest area only during a full EGD exam? Or should 43259 be used and a mod 52 added to indicate EUS not performed at duodenum during a full EGD exam ?

It is suggested to go with 43259-52.
