Heidi Posted Thu 24th of September, 2015 06:28:48 AM

I need to know what the CPT code is for the above procedure ? it is done endoscopic not surgical its also not a dilation endoscopy

Well, as it is done laproscopically, CPT 44238 (unlisted code) is appropriate code to bill. Make sure to attach the operative report with the claim to avoid decreased dollar value. Hope it helps!

I have an EGD being done on a patient performing a Stricturplasty on a stenosis in the GE junction where he is Coagulating it for tissue distruction using a snare, then stating using a needle knife, the fibrosis tissue was dissected and struralplasty was complete, this is all being done ENDOSCOPICALLY not surgically. Do we use 43270 with the unlisted code, or do we only use 43270?

Hi Sherry,

This is not considered as a new thread. You have to post this query in new window (as new question in separate box), then it will consider as new query.

Thank you
