When a specialist refers a patient to my provider(physiatrist),do we
bill for office visit also? If all diagnois ARE related to condition
of referral does Medicare not allow us to bill?

Thank you.

We need some clarification to answer your question.

Is your provider performing and office visit?
What service is being performed, referred for?

The second part of your question is unclear, please rephrase.

Thank you

Being referred for nerve conduction only. Diagnosis are only for problems related to referral.

Thank you.
If the provider is only performing the EMG, that would be the only code that would need to be billed. An office visit would not be supported it the patient is being referred specifically for the EMG unless the provider does a work up above and beyond that related to what is necessary for the nerve conduction study.
