when patient come for inpatient initial admission for abdominal pain and provider diagnosed as Small bowel obstruction. in AP he given diagnosis 1. small bowel obstruction.2. Hypertension. 3. COPD. how many points you will calculate from Table- A in MDM table.

In table A of MDM i.e. number of diagnoses or management options the maximum number of points are 4.

In the scenario above since the patient presents for new problem (to examiner), with no additional workup planned the maximum number of conditions that can be placed is 1 and maximum points that can be given is 3.
