ECRP with biopsy

Physician did ERCP with Sphincterotomy and then states he did a ERCP with biopsy but took the biopsy from gastric antrum should this be codes as an EGD with biopsy instead?

Yes, biopsy from gastric antrum is a part of EGD. ERCP is restricted to hepatobiliary system. Provider should bill for EGD with biopsy code in this case. Please find below the link for better understanding:
