Our ophthalmologist treated a patient in a alzheimers special care facility. What codes do I have to choose from to bill to the patients insurance?

Hi Marina,

We would like to have some more details related to this case. Please send the optalmology service that was provided to the patient along with other services performed, if any. Thank you.

Hi Marina,

If opthalmologist treats patient in an alzheimers special care facility, we will still code CPT 92002 (Ophthalmological services: medical examination and evaluation with initiation of diagnostic and treatment program; intermediate, new patient).

or 92012 in case of established patient. Please feel free to ask for any further assistance. Thank you.
