Does 67820 get paid only one unit per day from medicare? I used to get payment w/modifier 50, unit 2, and medicare paid 1 and 1/2 fee schedule amount. Now I am beginning to get denied saying two many unit. I checked bilateral indicator and muti surgery rule, and it is still 1 and 2.

Medicare's MUE shows 2. I believe it's allowing 1 unit for each eye if performed.

Although most Medicare carriers will reimburse epilation only once for each eye treated, check your local carrier’s guidelines for coding instructions.
