HOW WOULD I CODE EXPLORATION OF LEFT ATRIUM AND DIVISION OF LEFT INFERIOR PULMONARY VEIN AND OVERSEWING OF REMAINING ORIFICE-THIS WAS DONE FOR A EPITHELIAL TUMOR BUT DID NOT INVOLVE THE WALL OF THE ATRIUM--A THORACIC SURGEON IS DOING A LOBECTOMY ALSO WITH THIS FOR TUMOR AS WELL.--THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROMPT ANSWER

As per the above documentation appropriate CPT code for resection of epithelial tumor without involving the atrium would be 33130 which states resection of external cardiac tumor; also for lobectomy which was performed by thoracic surgeon can be coded as 32480.
