How would I code the following:
DIAGNOSIS: Posttraumatic right subtalar DJD.

PROCEDURE:
1.Distraction arthrodesis with tricortical block, right.
2.Harvest of proximal tib allograft, right.
3.Removal of calcaneal plate, right.
4.Removal of screws through separate incision, right.

Hi,
Thank you for the query.
Posttraumatic right subtalar DJD- 715.27.
Distraction arthrodesis with tricortical block, right-28725-RT.
Harvest of proximal tib allograft, right- Included in the primary CPT code.
Removal of calcaneal plate, right- 20680-RT only once as multiple use of code 20680 would be appropriate only when the hardware removal was performed for another fracture in a different anatomical site unrelated to the first fracture-(Removal of screws through separate incision, right).
