Diagnosis for Rectal nodule

Mercy Posted Mon 14th of March, 2011 20:11:44 PM

What diagnosis would I use for rectal nodule?

SuperCoder Answered Tue 15th of March, 2011 13:08:48 PM

There are two different codes that coders use 787.99 or 569.49. Going by meaning of rectal nodule 787.99 would be the appropriate code. Due to denial problems or other reasons some coders use 569.49.
