Diagnosis code V20.2 for child well exams - the old EPSDT

John Posted Thu 05th of February, 2015 17:42:55 PM

All of a sudden this insurance company denies one claim for a 12 days old child using DX V20.2. First time ever. Is there a different diagnosis to use?

You should use V20.32 (Health supervision for newborn 8 to 28 days old)for a child that is 12 days old.

It is used for health check for newborn 8 to 28 days old, newborn weight check and health check for child under 29 days old.

Hope this helps.
