WHAT IS THE SUBSTITUTING CODE FOR 93965?
SuperCoder Answered Mon 13th of November, 2017 00:34:32 AM

Hi,

CPT® 2017 deletes 93965, which describes a complete non-imaging, noninvasive study of the veins of both extremities to evaluate the leg veins. CPT® also does not provide a crosswalk for this code, but check with the individual payers for their policies on codes to report for this service.  You may be able to report this service or procedure using an unlisted code. Remember to send supporting documentation to payers with any claim containing an unlisted code. Keep in mind that CPT® does not recommend the use of unlisted procedures on a regular basis.

Thanks!
