Would CPT 11000 be appropriate for this procedure below? As there is no "depth" reported. "Wound on left anterior leg is same size as 2 days ago. Scab is now yellow and there is not any increase in redness. It is soaked for 20 min with saline and small hibiclens. Afterwards wound is debrided with curette and forceps. Minimal bleeding. After pressure held bacitracin and vaseline is applied followed by bandage" Thank you

As per above mentioned report the appropriate code is 11042 [Debridement, subcutaneous tissue (includes epidermis and dermis, if performed); first 20 sq cm or less]. As per CPT guidelines wound debridement are reported by 11042-11047 depends upon depth of tissue that is removed and surfeace area of wound.

CPT 11000 is used for Debridement of extensive eczematous or infected skin.
