ct additional views

Trish Posted Fri 03rd of August, 2012 19:10:53 PM

When a neurosurgeon orders a ct of the c-spine but wants additional views at different angles and planes, is there a way to bill for these additional views other than the 72151 or 72127 It takes alot of extra time to do these. Thanks for your help.

Don't code for the number of separate films that are used to obtain a single view; if two films are taken to obtain one lateral, it is still one view.

If there are different views, 72127 seems correct.
