Crohn's ICD 10

Robyn Posted Mon 14th of September, 2015 15:26:59 PM

For ICD 10 if the patient has Crohn's of small intestine with rectal bleeding, intestinal obstruction, and fistula would I report K50.011, K50.012, & K50.013? Or would it be better to use K50.018 (other complications) to encompass all 3 complications?

We will use K50.011, K50.012, K50.013 codes for the scenario. We will use K50.018 code only when the complication that is other specified.
