What CPT code would I use if patient is only coming in to discuss results/findings of a diagnostic test done on a previous date?

The patient was coming in to discuss transcranial Doppler results, but did not have eye exam.

Hi Chery, Since patient comes in for discuss transcranial Doppler results. I guess the closest E/M code that can be billed is 99212. However, the code can change depending upon the time taken for Counseling and/or coordination of care with other physicians, other qualified health care professionals, or agencies are provided consistent with the nature of the problem(s) and the patient's and/or family's needs. Counseling: Includes discussion with a patient and/or family about diagnostic results, impressions, and/or recommended diagnostic studies.
