Attempted cervical dilatation, unable to be performed due to cervical stenosis.

Laparoscopic aspiration of pelvic and cul-de-sac fluid for cytology.
Laparoscopic lysis of pelvic adhesions.
Laparoscopic left salpingo-oophorectomy.
Aspiration of left adnexal cyst for cytology.

Please help. I know I code the left salpingo - oophorectomy 58661.I know I do not code for the adhesions but what would the CPT codes be for the aspirations? thanks!

Thanks for your query,

CPT code 49322 would be appropriate to code aspiration of adnexal cyst. As per CCI edits, CPT 49322 is bundled with CPT 58661, so please use appropriate modifier with 49322.
