CPT descriptions for an EMR

Gerri Posted Wed 21st of September, 2011 16:29:46 PM

I am looking for some standardized descriptions for CPT codes that may be used when implementing an EHR/EMR. The data fields are limited so you will not be able to use many of the descriptions in the CPT book, too many characters. Is there one out there or do you have any suggestions for making this as user friendly as possible?

Thanks !

If you need for any specialty specific, then I will try to look at other resources available for your kind of requirement and let you know.

I'm actually working on our entire CDM and I wanted to standardize the descriptions so the users can find them easily. Some of the descriptions in CPT are very long and are so technical. I'd like to make them as easy to understand and pick out as possible.
