CPT codes 43760 and 43761

Luz Posted Tue 17th of March, 2015 09:15:33 AM

Would it be appropriate for neurology critical care physicians to perform subsequent placements of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tubes, CPT codes 43760 and 43761?

As per the coding guidelines both can be billed together, though it is an unlikely scenario, because both are used to feed the patient. However a neurology physician can perform the procedures.
