Thanks for your question.

Based on your documentation, please choose from below

ICD-9-CM code for Vitritis 379.29

CPT code for Vitrectomy ranges:

67005 for partial removal

67010 for removal of vitreous, anterior approach (open sky technique or limbal incision); subtotal removal with mechanical vitrectomy.

CPT 65810 for removal of vitreous by paracentesis of anterior chamber.

Hope this helps.

Is there a separate code for cytology/pathology that I need to use with a mod?

Thanks for your question.

If you are billing for surgeon, then it is not separately billable for him.

However, if the cytology and pathology service has been provided in the pathology and you want to code it for laboratory, then you can code from 88104, 88108, or 88112 as per technique used.

No modifier is required for separate providers.

Hope this helps.
