cpt code help

Valerie Posted Tue 23rd of February, 2010 18:05:23 PM

Can anybody help me with a cpt code for a laparoscpic cystogastrostomy for pancreatic cyst. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Laparoscopic treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts is generally performed by drainage, so you can report CPT 49322, but all depends upon the Operative report. But if the operative report says the cyt removal was performed by some other approach then you can go with an unlisted code 49329.
