Mike Posted Tue 08th of March, 2016 19:09:03 PM

procedure to be done is posterior tibial nerve block, superficial peroneal nerve block and deep peroneal nerve block on the left foot.

Would I be correct in coding 64450 X3?

64450 is for (Injection, anesthetic agent; other peripheral nerve or branch). In this procedure physician draws a local anesthetic into the syringe and injects it into the branch of the nerve to be anesthetized.
This code is per branch,If branch is different, then only you can bill an extra unit of this code. I don't think multiples are allowed for the nerves of same branch.
