cpt code Auriculotemporal

Mike Posted Mon 01st of February, 2016 15:38:49 PM

What is the proper code CPT 64400 or 64450?
64400 is nerve block of the trigeminal nerve, the gasserian ganglion, or ANY OF THE DIVISIONS OR BRANCHES OF THE TRIGEMINAL.

Auriculotemporal is a branch of the Trigeminal nerve so would 64400 y be the correct CPT code?

CPT Code 64400 is a correct code for Auriculotemporal branch block, as per code 64400 description - Injection, anesthetic agent; trigeminal nerve, any division or branch, it also suggests any division or branch further validates it’s correctness.
