CPT code for removal of retained sutures, anterior cornea, right eye.

SuperCoder Answered Mon 23rd of March, 2015 03:34:20 AM

Suture removal is considered part of the primary procedure if performed within the global period.
If performed outside the global period, we can bill CPT code 15850 for removal of sutures under anesthesia by same surgeon and CPT code 15851 for removal of sutures under anesthesia for other surgeon.
