CPT 920771 & 99070

Alea Posted Mon 16th of April, 2012 22:56:57 PM

hello,
how do I code/use mods for these codes 92071 & 99070 ( bandage cl & supply-medical not vision) together with an office visit (eye code or E/M code) & get paid for all 3 codes?
how about if they are within global period of a surgery but not related. since mod 24 is only used with OV?
thank you,
nicole

You could bill all the services without any modifier. If it is within the global and unrelated to the previous surgery, you should attach modifier -24 to the office visit code. If it is related, then it's included within the global and can't be separately reportable.
