CPT 10060

Tiffany Posted Tue 25th of September, 2012 16:05:43 PM

CPT 10060 was repeated within global by a different doctor in the same specialty. Modifier 76 or 77 would be appropriate?

Modifier 77. It is used to indicate that the same procedure was performed on a patient, but the service was done by a different physician than the first procedure. Use this modifier on the same day or during the global period of the first service.

Use the same CPT® code.

The procedure report should show the medical necessity for the repeat procedure.
