E. maria Posted Tue 05th of April, 2011 21:42:01 PM

Can anyone tell me if I can use CPT 19100 for a core needle biopsy of the chest wall?

Thank you

I think we should code on the basis of the following info:
20200 Biopsy, muscle; superficial
20205 Biopsy, muscle; deep
20206 Biopsy, muscle, percutaneous needle

Also neeed to check if patient is female, then CPT 19100 is correct for core needle biopsy, if image guidance is used then CPT 19102 will be used.
