copious wax without impaction

can cerumen impacted removal code be used when a copious wax without impaction was removed by part currette and part irrigation. can 69210 still be appended with E&M code. please help with answer. thank you.

Payers typically will not cover simple, non-impacted earwax removal. This work is included in the E/M service; therefore CPT 69210 should not be used. If earwax is removed by irrigation or lavage only an E/M should be billed.
