Hi Dan,

Thank you for your question.

The code range for removal of foreign body in the eye is 65205-65265.

Since above documentation mentions corneal abrasion as well as conjunctival foreign body

The diagnosis code for conjunctival foreign body will be T15.12XA and the CPT code for removal of conjunctival FB will be 65205.

However, for corneal abrasion you use the appropriate diagnosis codes however...coding the symptoms, of abrasion, rather than foreign body removal.

Note: There is no CPT code for corneal abrasion assessment, and it is considered as included in the Evaluation and Management service performed on the same day.

Feel free to ask for any further query.
