conjunctivachalasis excision

Donna Posted Fri 05th of April, 2013 15:52:40 PM

Our DR is doing a surgery to remove excess conjunctiva. I can't find anything except lesion removal. Can you please help me with a CPT code?

Hi, As per guideline, if there is no direct code to a particular procedure, we search in Cat-II and Cat-III codes and even if there also we do not have any code, then we use unlisted code. Since there is no exact CPT code for removal of excess conjunctiva (Conjunctivochalasis), we should use unlisted code 68399. THANKS.
