coding for Type A dissection repair

Lynn Posted Fri 18th of November, 2016 05:32:26 AM
Would this be coded 33864, the coronarys were not dissected, so no reconstruction (mod 52?)--please help this is time sensitive--thank you! 1. Innominate artery cannulation and repair with 8 millimeter graft. 2. Aortic root reconstruction and repair with STJ reconstruction. 3. Aortic valve resuspension, ascending and arch replacement with hypothermia circulatory arrest.

As per documentation, code 33864 is the correct code. You may use modifier 52 for reduced services. Thank you.
