I have had several rejections on office visits not related to a global post surgery. I have used a modifier and the body part was totally different than what my doctor had done surgery on. Thanks for you help.

If you are performing an EM services during post-op period for the different condition/reason other than the condition for which surgery was performed, then it is necessary to use the modifier 24 with the EM code. Check the reason for denial, fulfil the requirements and re-submit/appeal for it.
