How many months a CMS rent to purchase would be for item K0606?

As long as the Medicare patient meets the medical necessity for the 'Automatic external defibrillator, with integrated electrocardiogram analysis, garment type' his Physician can write the necessary prescription and the patient is covered for this device.

Thank you. But my question how many months will be rented until Medicare allowed the purchase...if they allow the purchase?

I don't understand the premise? If Medicare covers it, there is no renting involved. Patient get the K0606 and Medicare covers it.

this is under DME and have cost in Medicare fee schedule under RR which is rental. Medicare have guidelines regarding renting and when can be convert to purchase. For example E0601 can be rented up to 3 months and after convert to purchase. Those are called capped rental DME. Medicare will continue to cover the rental amount up to 15 or 13 months for certain DME.I was wondering if there are any rules regarding K0606.

None that I can see. Best to contact your local Medicare carrier and ask them directly.
