What code would I use for a transurethral biopsy of the prostate? I asked my doctor and he only resected a portion of the residual prostate tissue that was left after his previous resection. Here's the op note: "The 22 French Storz cystoscope sheath was inserted. The prostatic fossa had been previously resected. There were no abnormalities in the urethra. At the right apex there was some residual tissue. The resectoscope was inserted. Two small fragments approximately 5 x 5 mm were resected."

Hi,

A little clarification is required regarding the procedure performed to whether transurethral biopsy of the prostate is performed or partial resection is performed.

Thanks
