Charging a new preventive code for a patient seen 3 years ago

obinna Posted Thu 09th of April, 2015 13:47:28 PM

I heard we can code a preventive medicine visit as new if the patient's last visit was 3 years ago. Is this true?

How long ago does a patient's last visit have to be before you can code a new preventive medicine visit?

Yes, you can bill for new preventive medicine visit if the patient last seen 3 years ago i.e., 36 calender month ago.
