The radiologist did a CT guided renal cyst aspiration first using a 14 French angiocath and then a 5 French needle. He then injected absolute ethanol into the cyst cavity. I thought code 50390 under CT guidance would be the correct code?

Hi Susan,

You are correct. However, we will bill 50390 along with CT guidance code 77012 (Computed tomography guidance for needle placement (eg, biopsy, aspiration, injection, localization device), radiological supervision and interpretation). Thank you.
