Cardioversion done by ICD

Colleen Posted Wed 09th of April, 2014 09:50:17 AM

Patient had cardioversion done by his ICD and then reprogrammed. Would '92961' and '93283' be appropiate?

CPT guidelines with 92961 state: Do not report 92961 in conjunction with 93282-93284, 93287, 93289, 93295, 93296, 93618-93624, 93631, 93640-93642, 93650, 93653-93657, 93662

Also CCI bundles 93283 into 92961, which is the higher paying procedure.
