Canthacur

Miriam Posted Mon 30th of April, 2012 21:08:09 PM

If my doctor just uses Canthacur to treat a wart is that billable under '17110'?

It is used as topical treatment to destroy wart and 17110 includes "chemosurgery" [Destruction (e.g., laser surgery, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, chemosurgery, surgical curettement)], which includes application of chemicals for destruction. As to my knowledge there are insurances which cover it, if not then use appropriate E/M code
