Can CPT codes 65780 and 65426 be billed together? Also can they be billed with more than 1 unit?

Hi Marina, CPT codes 65780 and 65426 can be billed together with modifier 59. They cannot be billed with more than 1 unit, that is, if a surgery is performed on right eye, we can bill only once per DOS. however, if surgery is performed on LT and RT we can bill for both with bilateral modifier.

Which code do I add modifier 59 to?

Add modifier 59 to CPT 65426, as it is a primary procedure. Thank you.
