Bundling - is that between 2 CPT codes only or between providers in diff dept.

Carol Posted Mon 21st of August, 2017 08:34:11 AM
One of my GYN/Oncology providers did a joint surgery with Urology. I billed 58240-62/-52. The other provider in Urology has the understanding that he cannot bill another CPT code (either 50820 or 51595) that is considered bundled to 58240. I thought it would only be considered bundled if the 2 procedures were done by the same provider. Is it still considered bundled with 2 different providers in 2 different departments billing? Any assistance in the bundling issue is greatly appreciated.
