bronchial plasty

Deaconess Posted Fri 12th of February, 2016 09:40:51 AM

My doctor did a lobectomy with an intercostal flap repair of the bronchus. Below you will find the body of the report. I am wondering what CPT code you would use for the bronchial plasty.
I am going to use 32480 for the lobectomy.

The fissure was identified, and completed anteriorly with serial of gold endoGIA staple loads. The pulmonary artery was then seen through the fissure, and it was dissected. The fissure was then completed anteriorly and posteriorly with gold endoGIA staple. This exposed the pulmonary artery. It was divided with white endoGIA staple. The inferior pulmonary vein was divided next with another white EndoGIA stapler. The bronchus was then dissected, and divided with blue endoGIA staple.
I then used the interostal flap to suture it to the hilum, and over the bronchus. 3-0 PDS was used for bronchial plasty.
