Physician billed a '31629' and '31625' with modifier 51. His dictation states both were done in LUL. Can I bill for both procedures and if so is modifier 51 correct? The '31625' code was denied when we billed these codes to Medical Mutual.

It is true.Per latest CCI edits 31625 gets bundled into 31629 when performed in same session. You cannot use Modifier 51 and if used the code gets denied.
