I am new to Urology and trying to code Biofeedback. I have no experienced Coders to ask unfortunately. My question is reads that certain codes (51784-51785, 97110, 97112, 97530, 97535) are "typically" included in the 90911. However it then states that under certain circumstances you can report them with the 90911 with the 59 modifier attached to those codes.
My question is how do we determine if we have met those "circumstances"? In our billing history...they were billing 90911 with 51784-59. But I can't really determine why they felt the 51784 was a seperate service and why it was seperately billable as it is routine to perform that in our office during Biofeedback.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

You cant bill 51784 with code 90911, unless 51784 is done pre and post biofeedback in separate session for diagnostic purpose to evaluate the patient.Please see below article for more clarity:
