Billing of 93458

Oscar Posted Thu 24th of October, 2013 13:53:34 PM

Dear Cardiology team members

I am clear that, we have to code 93458 when LHC, Left ventriculography and coronary angiogram performed.

But, sometimes my doctor performs Coronary angiogram and just enter the left heart to measure the pressures and won't perform Left Ventriculography. Means LV not done. In this case also should we report 93458? or 93454 only as LV not done?.

I appreciate your help

Use Modifier 52 along with 93458 when LV was not performed.
